Vegan Refried Beans

Brother Ben (the Rabbi) is always looking for additional recipes for his culinary bandolero. Load this one brother!!! If it doesn’t shoot directly to your tongue, add some Habanero (Arrrr)!


1 16 oz can Vegan Black Beans (Rinsed and Drained)
1 16 oz can Vegan Pinto Beans (Rinsed and Drained)
1 16 oz can Vegan Black Eyed Peas (Rinsed and Drained)
1 Large Onion (Peeled, chopped and sauteed in olive oil)
1 Tbs Dry Chopped Onion
3 Tbsp Fresh Chopped Garlic
1 Tsp Dry Mexican Oregano
1/2 Tsp Dry Cayenne Chile
1/2 Tsp Dry New Mexico Chile
1 Tsp Dry Pasilla Chile


Sautee Onion in large pan until limp
Add Beans
Add all Spices
Simmer


A little spicy, just the way my sister-in-law Catherine likes it.
If dry, add a little water or vegetable stock.
